and agree to be bound by everything below! The Metaverse Stock Exchange reserves the right to modify this disclaimer
and/or Terms of Service at any time with or without notice to you.
This is a VIRTUAL (read: not real) stock exchange where VIRTUAL (read: not real) securities in VIRTUAL (read: NOT REAL)
corporations existing within the virtual game world of Second Life and are
traded for in L$. The L$ is a game currency provided to players of
Second Life by Linden Lab, the company
which created and owns Second Life. This stock exchange is a resident
created extension of the game economy of Second Life and is NOT a medium for
investing real money.
Other markets do exist where these fictional funds may be exchanged with other players for real currency.
However, it is clearly stated in the Second Life Terms of Service,
section 6.4, that these funds are purely fictional and are NOT to be regarded in any other way.
The stock exchange accepts this, and does NOT represent fictional currency or virtual securities in virtual corporations
changing hands on it to be anything other than purely an extension of a virtual game economy. The fictional currency and
virtual securities being exchanged here have ABSOLUTELY NO express or implied real-world value.
The Metaverse Stock Exchange cannot and does not insure investors against loss of L$ value in virtual securities
issued by virtual Second Life corporations and traded on this exchange. The stock exchange exists ONLY as a platform
for the execution of virtual securities trades between Second Life residents, and to maintain a database of the owners
of said virtual securities by Second Life avatar name/key.
The operators of any listed virtual company also cannot and do not insure investors against the loss of L$ value in
their virtual securities.
This website is entirely resident created and is NOT associated in any way with Linden Lab.
